11,742 migrants repatriated in 2025 according to police

Police repatriated 11,742 migrants residing illegally in Cyprus in 2025 through voluntary and forced return procedures.

This marks an increase from 10,092 repatriations in 2024.

Strategy yields results

“The strategy followed over the last three years appears to deliver positive results in managing migration flows,” police stated.

Meanwhile, 2,444 irregular migrants arrived in 2025, down sharply from 6,109 in 2024 and 17,434 in 2022.

Police efforts to identify and repatriate illegal residents continue daily.
